Connect Social Accounts
Learn connect social accounts in Postyn's social media publishing workflow.
Connect your X/Twitter account so Postyn can schedule posts, publish threads, manage queue status, and attach analytics to the right profile.
Postyn uses official platform authorization flows. You should never share your X/Twitter password with Postyn, and you can reconnect from your workspace if a token expires.
Quick Start
- Open your Postyn dashboard.
- Go to Social Accounts.
- Choose X/Twitter.
- Approve the requested permissions.
- Return to Postyn and create or schedule your first post.
After connection, use the X/Twitter scheduler to create a post, schedule a thread, bulk import a campaign, or generate a draft with AI.
What the Connection Enables
| Workflow | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| X/Twitter post scheduling | Plan posts ahead of time and keep your queue visible. |
| Thread publishing | Split longer ideas into readable scheduled threads. |
| Bulk tweet scheduling | Import campaign rows for higher-volume publishing. |
| Recurring tweets | Keep evergreen ideas moving without rebuilding them each week. |
| Analytics | Review publishing activity, performance, and account-level results. |
| Account switching | Manage personal, brand, client, and campaign profiles with clearer context. |
First-Time Setup Checklist
- Connect one X/Twitter account first.
- Give the account a clear workspace name if your team manages multiple profiles.
- Create a simple test post and schedule it for a future time.
- Confirm the post appears in your scheduled queue.
- Add your next draft, AI-generated tweet, thread, or bulk campaign.
Multiple X/Twitter Accounts
If you manage more than one profile, connect each account separately and confirm the selected account before scheduling.
Use clear names such as:
- Founder account
- Brand account
- Client account
- Launch campaign account
This helps teams avoid publishing to the wrong profile and makes analytics easier to interpret.
Reconnection and Token Issues
X/Twitter can require reconnection when permissions change, tokens expire, passwords are reset, or account security settings change.
If Postyn shows a disconnected account or expired token:
- Open Social Accounts.
- Select the affected X/Twitter account.
- Reconnect the account.
- Return to scheduled or failed posts.
- Retry or reschedule any affected items.
Do not remove an account while it still has scheduled posts unless you intend to cancel or recreate those posts.
Publishing Errors
Failed X/Twitter posts are usually caused by one of these issues:
- The account is disconnected.
- The token expired.
- A platform publishing limit was reached.
- Media is not supported by the API.
- The post exceeds platform constraints.
- The selected account no longer has permission to publish.
Postyn should show the failed state clearly so you can reconnect, edit, retry, or reschedule.
